Description of Duties
This is a stationary engineering position involving the operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, generating, ventilating, and refrigerating equipment. At some locations, the work may also involve maintenance and repairs of plumbing and electrical systems. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a Chief Engineer Stationary, Stationary Engineer First Class, or in the case of Monroe Community College, the Director of Building Maintenance. Direct supervision may be exercised over the work of an Assistant Engineer Stationary III or Assistant Engineer Stationary Trainee.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Monroe Community College and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Head Custodian immediately preceding the date of the written test.
