Description of Duties
This is an engineering position in the Monroe County Water Authority, responsible for directing the preparation of plans and specifications for engineering projects. The position regularly requires field work at construction job sites. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a senior level engineering staff member, with wide latitude allowed for the development and modification of design plans and specifications, the exercise of independent judgment, and the application of professional engineering standards. General supervision is exercised over a professional engineering and support staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Water Authority and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Project Engineer - Water Distribution, Production Engineer or Construction Engineer or six (6) months holding the position of Senior Project Engineer – Water Distribution immediately preceding the date of the written test.
