Description of Duties
This is a laboring position in the Lineworker field in which the incumbent oversees the work program for all the line crews. The program involves technical work in the erection, installation and maintenance of electric power distribution lines and the rebuilding and maintenance of substations, underground vaults and related equipment. The incumbent is responsible for actively instructing crew chiefs and crew members in their duties and responsibilities. The Line Foreman is required to perform Lineworker duties at the level of a Journeyman Lineworker. The work is performed under general supervision of the Superintendent Electrical Operations. Direct supervision is exercised over Senior Lineworkers and Lineworkers. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma plus five (5) years experience as a Lineworker.
