Description of Duties
This position is a professional nursing position responsible for managing and overseeing essential aspects of care for clients with tuberculosis who are managed in the Tuberculosis Control Program in the Nursing Services Division of the Department of Public Health. The work includes nursing assessments, patient histories, obtaining specimens, administering medications, education, coordinating with other providers, case management and other related work. The position works closely with other program staff, including clerical staff, LPNs RNs, Outreach Workers, physicians and an X-ray technician. This position will require traveling within Monroe County.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered school of nursing.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates for employment with Monroe County Government will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test, along with a background investigation. Failure to meet the standards may result in disqualification.
If you are appointed, you will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Possession of a New York State License as a Registered Nurse.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
