Description of Duties
This is a supervisory position located in the Department of Finance responsible for assisting in the day‑to‑day management of financial analysis, and claims management activities including client vendor payables and receivables and reimbursement claiming with an emphasis on functions pertaining to the Department of Human Services and the Department of Public Health. This position differs from Senior Assistant Supervisor of Claims and Accounts by virtue of planning the fiscal functions of the unit, assisting with budgetary preparation, overseeing the development of improved processes and procedures, and assuming the duties of the administrator of the unit in his/her absence. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Assistant to the Controller-Health and Human Services or other higher level staff member. General supervision is exercised over accounting and clerical staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class in a Monroe County Department and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Assistant Supervisor of Claims and Accounts immediately preceding the date of the written test.
