Description of Duties
This position in the Monroe County Parks Department Seneca Park Zoo is responsible for assisting with monitoring the animal collection to ensure a balanced and diverse collection. Duties involve developing proper methods of caring for the animal collection at the zoo on a daily basis. The employee provides care for assigned animals as needed. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the General Curator or a higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over a subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Monroe County Department of Parks and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months in the title of Senior Zookeeper immediately preceding the date of the written test.
