Description of Duties
This is an audiovisual position involving responsibility for the operation and distribution of audiovisual equipment, production of
audiovisual aids, and the routine maintenance and minor repair and troubleshooting of such equipment, including
computerized equipment. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, a higher-level staff
member. General supervision may be exercised over School Aides or other subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma PLUS, either:
(A) One (1) year of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent** experience in the operation or maintenance of audiovisual
equipment, or the reproduction of audiovisual aides, or the conversion of archived film to digital format; OR,
(B) Successful completion of thirty (30) college semester credit hours including a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit
hours in Audiovisual Technology, Film, Film making, or Video or Media Production*; OR,
(C) Any equivalent combination of education and experience defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
*Candidates qualifying under (B) above must submit an official or unofficial college transcript with their applications.
