Description of Duties
REVISED
This is a senior level clerical position in Monroe County government responsible for providing clerical and staff support to technical staff involving activities such as benefits and exam administration, reviewing applications, personnel paperwork completion, classification activities, labor relations and payroll certification. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, a Senior Personnel Technician or other staff member. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical experience, two (2) of which shall have involved personnel or payroll activities; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State recognized college or university with an Associate’s degree in secretarial science, plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical experience; OR,
(C) Any equivalent combination of education and experience as described in (A) and (B) above.
