Description of Duties
This is a professional position responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing group and individual therapeutic recreation sessions for the specific client populations of Monroe Community Hospital and the Monroe County Department of Human Services-Childrens Detention Center. Duties include assessing the needs, interests, and abilities of residents to develop programs appropriate to their specific needs, and available resources. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of higher level administrators. Lead supervision may be exercised over volunteers, students, and summer youth workers as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Monroe Community Hospital and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Leisure Services Specialist immediately preceding the date of the written test.
