Description of Duties

This position, located in the Department of Information Services, is responsible for researching, designing, implementing and testing software for Monroe County government. Duties involve being responsible for the larger software development process including working with multiple parts of the software, planning how users will interact with it and how other applications will interface with it, and what is required to have the software run smoothly. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Deputy Director of Information Services or other higher-level staff member. 

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Monroe County Department of Information Services and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Programmer Analyst I immediately preceding the date of the written test.
