Description of Duties
This is a professional position responsible for coordinating, supervising and evaluating the operations of the cardiopulmonary services unit at Monroe Community Hospital (MCH). Duties involve training staff to ensure compliance with appropriate policies and procedures and Department of Health regulations as well as the maintenance of the appropriate supplies and equipment. The employee reports directly to and works under general supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Manager or other higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over a registered and/or licensed respiratory therapy staff. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma; PLUS ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
(A) Possession of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care Inc. (NBRC), AND
(B) Possession of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) license issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSDOE), AND,
(C) One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a respiratory therapist, plus one (1) year of full-time or its part-time equivalent supervisory or lead role experience in any position.
A candidate needs to be up to date which means a person has received all recommended doses in their primary series COVID-19 vaccine, and a booster dose when eligible.
