Registered Nurse, Part-Time

Description of Duties
This is a professional nursing position involving responsibility for providing bedside and clinical care to convalescent, chronically ill, and seriously ill patients in a health care facility. Registered Professional Nurses will be required to successfully complete a medication examination prior to permanent appointment. General supervision is received from a senior level nursing staff member. Direct supervision may be exercised over Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants. Does related work as required.
This part time RN position is in the Maternal & Child Health Services Division of the Department of Public Health and is located at 111 Westfall Rd. The RN is responsible for the Newborn Screening program and the Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs program, which provides linkages/referrals to children through age 21 who have special health related needs. The position includes telephone, some in person, and community outreach activities, including health fair attendance. This RN reports directly to a Nurse Coordinator or the Division Manager. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered school of nursing.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a New York State License as a Registered Nurse.
