Description of Duties
This position, located at Monroe Community Hospital, is responsible providing direct and indirect care to convalescent and chronically/seriously ill patients. This position is distinguished from Licensed Practical Nurse by virtue of being responsible for supervising and training subordinate staff in a unit and performing specialized and more complex duties. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or other higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over subordinate staff such as Nursing Assistants and Unit Aides. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New York State Registered Professional Nursing (RN) license or valid New York State Licensed Professional Nursing (LPN) license.
A candidate needs to be up to date which means a person has received all recommended doses in their primary series COVID-19 vaccine, and a booster dose when eligible.
