Information Technology Project Manager

Description of Duties
This position is responsible for the management, planning and execution of key information technology projects and delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget. Duties involve developing and implementing technology based strategic planning, planning and executing upgrades to existing business systems and the implementation of new systems. Duties also involve systems analysis and design and overseeing the work of project teams. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Director of Information Technology or other higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over a technical staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at BOCES #1 and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Computer Application Specialist, Network Administrator, Senior Network Technician, or Technical Specialist immediately preceding the date of the written test.
