Description of Duties
This is a professional pharmacology position requiring a thorough knowledge of the preparation of drugs and the compounding and dispensing of medicine. The Pharmacist shares with the Chief Pharmacist the responsibility for the safe and accurate handling of medications and for observing and following all laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures that affect the practices of the pharmacy. The employee receives general supervision from the Chief Pharmacist, and is required to be on call for emergencies. Working supervision may be exercised over Medication Technicians, Messengers, stockroom workers and other department personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department as a Pharmacist.
