Description of Duties

This is a staff position responsible for performing a variety of office management tasks including coordinating the functions of a large department, unit or agency in order to allow an administrator to execute more substantive duties.  The employee reports directly to and works under general supervision of an administrator with wide leeway allowed for attending to administrative details. When working on complex projects or confidential matters, these employees work closely with the administrator. The employee also represents the administrator at meetings. Supervision may be exercised over a subordinate staff. 

Minimum Qualifications

BOCES #1:
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at BOCES #1 and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position Clerk II, Office Clerk II, Office Account Clerk or Data Control Clerk immediately preceding the date of the written test.
 
Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Office Clerk II or Secretary II or twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Office Clerk III or Secretary III immediately preceding the date of the
 
Town of Irondequoit
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Town of Irondequoit and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Clerk I or twenty-four (24) month as Office Clerk II                                        
 
Monroe Community College:
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at Monroe Community College and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position Clerk I, Secretary I, or any other clerical or secretarial titles in salary group 10 immediately preceding the date of the written test.
