Description of Duties
Monroe County is seeking high quality candidates for the position of Executive Health Director of Monroe Community Hospital, in Rochester, New York. Monroe Community Hospital (MCH) is the largest provider of skilled nursing services in upstate New York, providing 566 beds for long-term care and 39 beds for acute care. Medical services are provided under a partnership with the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital, augmented by the MCH staff of more than 700 dedicated employees. Together they offer long-term care for individuals with complex health conditions requiring higher levels of medical and nursing care. Specialty services include Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, a Ventilator unit, an in-house Pharmacy, and Dental, Ophthalmology and Podiatry clinics.
Care is delivered in an historic and architecturally-significant building that has been renovated and maintained for the comfort of MCH residents and to accommodate the needs of modern medical/nursing services.
The Executive Health Director is responsible for planning, managing and operating all functions, programs and levels of care (including inpatient hospital, residential and outpatient) provided by MCH. Other major areas of responsibility include financial management, building systems oversight and communications processes. The Director reports to the Deputy County Executive for Human Services and consults with the Chairman of the MCH Advisory Board.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current New York State Nursing Home Administrator license.
