Description of Duties

This is a supervisory position located at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and is responsible for the coordination of office activities and administrative functions of the Jail Bureau.  Duties include budget preparation, purchasing, and assisting with policy development.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Jail Superintendent with wide leeway allowed in the execution of duties.  General supervision is exercised over clerical staff.


Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Office of the Sheriff and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Jail Education Coordinator, Jail Industries Coordinator, Management Assistant, or Property Manager immediately preceding the date of the written test.

A combination of time served in multiple titles sufficient to meet the maximum period of required service is also qualifying.
