Preventive Maintenance Coordinator

Description of Duties
This is a technical position, in the Department of Environmental Services responsible for coordinating a preventive maintenance system to predict and prevent equipment failures in wastewater treatment plants and process support equipment. Work is conducted in close cooperation with engineers, equipment vendors, analytical labs and staff supervisors. Work further involves coordinating the support work of trades staff. General supervision is exercised over a subordinate mechanical staff. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of, the Supervisor of Mechanical Maintenance or other supervisory staff member.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Station Mechanic – Mechanical, Station Mechanic – Electrical, Station Mechanic – Instrumentation, or Process Operator immediately preceding the date of the written test.
