Description of Duties
This is a professional position responsible for program planning and staff supervision of a public education program at the Monroe County Public Health Department for the purpose of promoting good nutrition among socio‑economically disadvantaged women, their infants and children. This position differs from the lower, Nutritionist in its responsibility for planning and implementing all facets of the nutrition education program for the department. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of an administrative-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over a staff of Nutritionists and clerical personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class in the Monroe County Department of Public Health and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Nutritionist immediately preceding the date of the written test.
