Description of Duties
This is a clinical nursing position responsible for planning, developing and coordinating the rehabilitative nursing educational program for Monroe Community Hospital. The employee is responsible for all phases of patient care and instructs the nursing staff on current or revised rehabilitative nursing health concepts. The employee reports directly to, and works under the Rehabilitation Director - MCH. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse working in rehabilitation in a long-term care setting; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in Nursing, plus four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse working in rehabilitation in a long-term care setting; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined within the limits of (A) or (B) above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
