Park Supervisor

Description of Duties
This is a senior level supervisory position in the Department of Parks responsible for supervising the repair and maintenance of park grounds, recreational areas, shelters and lodges in an assigned park within a large park system. Employees are on call twenty four (24) hours a day to respond to emergency calls and may be required to work in inclement weather. The employee works under general supervision from, and reports directly to, an administrative level staff member. Direct supervision is exercised over park maintenance crews.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the Monroe County Department of Parks and must have served continuously on a permanent basis in the competitive class for twelve (12) months holding the position of Tree Supervisor or Horticultural Aide or in the non-competitive class for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Working Foreman immediately preceding the date of the written test.
