Recreation Guard PT

Description of Duties
This position involves guard duties that require patrolling the Seneca Park Zoo and recreation area to ensure the safety, security and general condition of the animals, the security of locked cages, gates and equipment including life support, and patrons in the Seneca Park Zoo beyond closing. Employees direct patrons to parking areas, recreation areas or offices and check visitor passes. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a higher-level manager. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position. Does related work as required.
HOURS: Shifts are Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Must possess a valid New York State driver's license - Class D.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Current registration as a Security Guard with the New York State Department of State required.
