Greenhouse Worker

Description of Duties
This position involves semi-skilled and unskilled work in the propagation and general care of gardens and greenhouse plants. Employees in this class follow instructions regarding the tasks to be performed. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Horticulturist or Horticultural Aide. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus one (1) year full-time or part-time equivalent paid gardening experience.
NOTE:
Where the minimum educational requirement is not met, additional gardening experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis, for a maximum of two (2) years.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Pesticide Applicator License preferred.
