Materials Coordinator

Description of Duties
This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the purchasing, movement and inventory of supplies and equipment, as well as the maintenance of reliability based asset and inventory management computerized programs. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Senior Inventory Control Supervisor or other higher-level staff member.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Five (5) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience in purchasing, materials management, and product or inventory control; OR experience involving receiving, storing, processing, and disbursing stock; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree plus three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience as described in (A) above; OR,
(C) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience as described in (A) above; OR,
(D) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above.
