Systems Operator - Wastewater

Description of Duties
This position in the Department of Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation and
maintenance of the sewer collection system and all associated facilities. Work includes coordinating, monitoring, operating
and data collections analysis activities. General supervision is exercised over dispatch/operations staff. The employee
reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the Sewer Collection Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Department of
Environmental Services and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the
position of Assistant Systems Operator - Wastewater immediately preceding the date of the written test.
