School Nutrition Coordinator

Description of Duties
This position in a school district is responsible for evaluating and monitoring the nutrient content of school meal menus as
well as promoting the importance of nutritional meals for students. The employee reports directly to and works under the
general supervision of the Director and/or Assistant Director of School Food Services.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s
degree in Dietetics or Nutrition, plus one (1) year paid full time or its part time equivalent* experience in Clinical
Nutrition or Food Nutrition related management; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master’s degree
in Dietetics or Nutrition, OR,
(C) Any equivalent combination of education and experience as described by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
