Description of Duties
This is a professional position in the Monroe County Public Health Department responsible for leading and participating in
implementing, monitoring, and evaluating a public education program to promote good nutrition among socio-economically
disadvantaged women and their infants and children. This position differs from the lower, Nutritionist II, by its expanded
responsibility for oversight and leadership of public education programs. The employee reports directly to and works under
the general supervision of a higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over a subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at a Monroe County Department of Public Health
and must have served continuously on a permanent basis for twelve (12) months holding the position of Nutritionist II
immediately preceding the date of the written test.
